Our leadership

PPPN Runs a three level leadership structure, a newly appointed 2 members board of trusts who serves in advisory capacity, then the executive committee members led by the Chair and 8 others members responsible for the day to day management of the network. The congress comprises the members of the network whose decision is supreme and are expected to meet a minimum of one time every quarter.

Youth Peace Building

Given that Nigeria is confronted with numerous violent conflicts and young people play critical roles on the battlefield, they are rarely represented at the dialogue table or equipped with skills to deal with the violent conflict environment. This has resulted in the reinforcement of more violent conflicts, substance abuse, gang violence, jungle justice, criminality, the promotion of hate speech, violent extremism,. As a result, the organization primarily works with youth to increase the number and quality of peace building efforts.

Good Governance

As society pushes for greater accountability in public governance, with leaders expected to be transparent and responsive to the needs of the people, and citizens embracing democratic values, our organization sees the active involvement of youth in public governance as crucial. We believe that engaging young people in governance processes will foster effective leadership and cultivate a robust democratic culture in Nigeria, harnessing the potential of their transition from adolescence to adulthood.

Human Rights Protection

In Nigeria, human rights violations are sadly commonplace, spanning from domestic violence to gender discrimination, selective justice, workplace mistreatment, sexual harassment, and abuse of authority. Youth often bear the brunt of these injustices, yet they also possess the potential to enact meaningful change. Our organization recognizes that by equipping young citizens with knowledge of human rights protections and facilitating access to justice, they can emerge as powerful advocates for human rights.
