1.Security and CSO Interface

The network actively collaborates with various peace and security stakeholders, providing advisories on security vulnerabilities and engaging in dialogues with key actors. In 2023, the network held a constructive session with the leadership of “Operation Safe Haven” to enhance civilian protection. Additionally, the network hosted an assessment team from the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, contributing insights into the state’s fragility due to economic challenges.

2.Gubernatorial Dialogue

As part of efforts to promote civic engagement and set the agenda for the 2023 general elections, the network hosted a pivotal dialogue with gubernatorial candidates. This historic event, attended by candidates and deputies, including sitting Governor Caleb Manase Mutfwang, allowed for a thorough examination of candidates’ manifestos and commitments. Notably, this marked the first time such a dialogue was convened by civil society in the state. The initiative was supported by network members including TEKAN Peace Desk, YIAVHA, CAJR, JPRM, JDPC,  CEPAN

3.International Day of Peace 2023

In partnership with the Plateau Peace Media Forum, the network organized impactful events for the 2023 International Day of Peace. A roadshow was conducted to show solidarity with victims of violence and raise awareness about peace in the state. Online dialogues and town halls were also organized to broaden perspectives on peace programming, with participants reflecting on the significance of shared knowledge.

Through these engagements, the Plateau Peace Practitioners Network continues to demonstrate its dedication to fostering peace, security, and good governance in Plateau State.
