About JDPC: Justice Development and Peace Caritas Commission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Jos operates as the Social Arm of the Catholic Church, a non Governmental Faith -Based Organization (FBO) with the mandate to take care of the Social needs of the Church through community service and service to all humanity irrespective of religious, ethnic or racial affiliation to uphold the dignity of the human person and registered in 2011 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a Non Profit Organization under the name; “Social Justice and Human Development for Peace Initiative” with a five (5) man Board of Trustees. . Vision : A just and Peaceful Society where the dignity of the human person is promoted in an eco-friendly environment. Mission Statement: We are a Faith -Based Non-profit organization, committed to promoting holistic development for humanity through capacity building, Community mobilization, Peace Building, Youth and Women development, Human Rights, and Environmental care. Thematic Areas: Social Welfare, Good Governance and Human Rights, Research and Animation and Rural/Urban and Water Development in Kuru (CARUDEP). JDPC is guided by its five (5) years Strategic Plan document in all it’s intervention to address specific critical issues of concern through specifically designed activities within six (6) different departments: (1) Animation and Research. (2) Emergency Preparedness and Response Team (EPRT) (3) Good Governance and Human Rights (GG/HR) (4) Women Empowerment Program me (WEP) (5) Peace Building and Conflict Transformation (PCT). (6) Catholic Rural and Urban Development Programme (CARUDEP) and headed by Program me Managers at the departmental level.
